Here’s what I worked on tonight. This one is almost done. I just need to clean off the sketched lines and put a coat of varnish on it. This one gets one more layer. I had one professor in grad school tell me my colors were too “polite”. I think I’ve left that behind with this piece. It’s kinda hard to look at right now.

I started a couple of paintings that are full size doors. Here’s one that I’ve started. It still needs a couple of layers, but it looks pretty good so far.
Well, it’s on to the next phase of my appaloosa series. It’s time to start drawing actual horses now. Here’s what I did tonight.

My painting, Composite II, was accepted in the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition. I'm a little late getting this up, so the show is down now. One of my drawings is in the Abstract Show at the Brickton Art Center in Park Ridge, IL. The show goes through July 28.
My drawing Constrain is in the exhibition Scape, put on by Emerging Young Artists. The exhibition is at the Village Gallery in Montgomery, Alabama. It's open from March 12 to April 1. There's a closing reception on March 31, from 6 to 8.
