Wine brand Naming and Label Design Project
Assignment: In groups of 5, name and design two labels each for four wines. Assemble a presentation packet explaining naming rationale and label design concepts.
Our team broke the labels up into two groups. Group one emphasized the individuality of the wines and the individual designers, featuring unusual label shapes and original artwork. Group two had more guidelines to highlight the fact that all four wines were from the same brand. Each bottle had a 3" x 3" square etched into the glass that the illustration part of the label had to fit into. Each wine also had a thin band below the etched square for the name, type of wine, year, and other information. My designs are located to the right.
